Since the Presentation on Tuesday we had a lot of positive feedback and we have made a few changes.
First of all the story line has been dropped because it was unnecessary and it would have been difficult to implement.
Instead of having an environment made up of identical white cubes that all behave in the same way. We have decided on four types of Cubes. Each cube has a different function and each cube is a different colour so that they stand out and it is easy for the player to tell the difference between them.
1.Red Cubes move outwards and can be used as platforms.
2.Blue cubes move inwards and can be used as launch pads.
3.Yellow cubes move a set of cubes.
4.White cubes can not be moved by the player.
We have also decided that we will include enemies. They will very slow movement and very basic AI pattern so that it keeps with the puzzle solving feel of the game. One idea I had was that the player can block block the enemies path and cause the enemy to change direction and the player will be able to defeat the enemy by using the environment to either trap or squash them.
We are going to stick with a first person perspective , but we have to design the levels in a way that the player can see all of the level.
